Opa was zeventien toen hij hier in 1944 aan land kwam met de geallieerden. Hij heeft de oorlog overleefd en sprak er bijna nooit over, behalve in zijn laatste jaar. Op 80-jarige bevrijdingsdag in 2024 hebben we hier voor hem stilgestaan.
